Job Position: Utilities / Plant Operations Officer

Job Location: Bonny Island, Port Harcourt, Rivers
Job Nature: Standard

Job Summary

• Responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of utility systems—power generation, water treatment, air compressors, boilers, HVAC, and related equipment—to ensure continuous and reliable support for plant operations in line with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor all plant utility systems to maintain optimal performance and supply.
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs on utility equipment.
• Identify and report equipment faults, ensuring timely resolution to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate operation logs, maintenance records, and performance reports.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, operational procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Support optimization initiatives to improve energy efficiency and system reliability.
• Coordinate with maintenance and production teams to ensure seamless operations.

Qualifications and Experience

• B.Sc. or HND in Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering.
• 5 years of relevant experience in utilities or plant operations within oil and gas or related industries.
• Good knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, HVAC, and water treatment systems.
• Familiarity with plant automation/SCADA systems is an advantage.
