Job Description


  • Amoga Media is looking for a talented and proactive Web Project Manager to oversee our web projects, focusing on our websites' SEO and WordPress development.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in news media, SEO, WordPress, project management, and web development.
  • As a Web Project Manager, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our websites meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and user engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage web projects from inception to completion, including new website launches, updates, and redesigns.
  • Collaborate with design, development, and content teams to create and maintain engaging, high-quality websites that align with Amoga Media's brand.
  • Coordinate project schedules, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and team members to facilitate seamless project execution.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in news media, SEO, and web development.
  • Implement SEO best practices across our websites to improve visibility, traffic, and search engine rankings.
  • Oversee and optimize WordPress websites, including customization, plugin management, and performance enhancements.
  • Monitor and analyze website performance metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  • Troubleshoot website issues and work with the development team to resolve them in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Web Development, Communications) or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in web project management, particularly within the news media industry.
  • Strong knowledge of SEO best practices and a track record of implementing successful SEO strategies.
  • Expertise in WordPress development, including themes, plugins, and customizations.
  • Proficiency in web development languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and a proactive approach to challenges.
