Job Description

• An Accountant's job is to manage a company's financial health by recording, analyzing, and reporting financial data. Key responsibilities include preparing financial statements, managing budgets and forecasts, ensuring tax compliance, reconciling accounts, and performing audits to ensure accuracy and identify financial risks.
• They provide crucial financial advice to support business decisions, often using accounting software to maintain records and track transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting and Analysis:Prepare financial statements, such as balance sheets and income statements, and provide analysis on company performance.
• Budgeting and Forecasting:Develop and manage budgets and financial forecasts to help plan for the future.
• Tax Compliance:Calculate, prepare, and file taxes, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and offer advice on tax planning.
• Auditing and Reconciliation:Conduct internal audits and reconcile bank statements to identify and resolve discrepancies and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
• Record Keeping:Maintain organized and accurate financial records, including ledgers and transactional data.
• Cost Management:Analyze costs and recommend ways to reduce expenses and improve profitability.
• Financial Advice:Advise management on financial matters, such as investments, and help guide strategic decisions.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Interested candidates should possess an HND / Bachelor's Degree 3-4 years experience.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and tax laws.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

Salary
N120,000 - N150,000 / Month.
