Job Position: Gas Operations Manager
Job Location: Ajah, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• Liaises with clients, government agency representatives and other relevant stakeholders concerning gas plant’s daily operations as the need arises and ensure smooth running of operations at the depot
• Maintains depot relationships with third-party carriers, suppliers, and contractors
• Monitoring all assigned tasks of workers as the head of the team
• Oversees the management of key customer account relationships to ensure satisfaction
• Reports directly to the MD/CEO on Depot activities and ensures the appropriate reports are made on time.
• Oversees the periodic stock take exercise and puts in place effective mechanisms to minimize losses
• Enforces HSE standards and guidelines in the business division and provides relevant safety equipment to staff on duty
• Oversees depot operations and ensures that all government regulations are complied with
• Facilitates regular depot facility inspection and works with the HSE and Engineering teams to establish and implement maintenance controls / measures
• Train staff on relevant HSE for the company
• Applies crisis prevention and crisis management measures in the depots
• Manages and supervise the use of the fleets effectively
• Ensuring achievement of sales targets
• Developing and monitoring the operational expenses
• Taking corrective actions to rectify variances
• Developing new strategies to increase productivity with safe and cost-efficient methods
• Ensuring that adequate safety norms are used by site personnel
• Provides direction and supervision for the team including skill and competency development, so that each team member is continually growing into higher responsibility in the organization.

Requirements
The ideal candidate must:

• Possess a Bachelor's Degree with 0 - 4 years of work experience
• Have prior experience in operational management from the Oil and Gas sector
• Effectively communicate both verbally and in written form
• Have a comprehensive knowledge of quality assurance principles, methods, design, testing, and implementation
• Have leadership and supervisory skills
• Have interpersonal skills
• Be able to work with teams
• Be able to coordinate with other departments
• Excellent project, planning, change, and time management capabilities
• Be cordial and professional
• Be innovative
• Have good judgment and decision-making skills.
