Choice International Group - CIG Motors Co. Limited is the representative of GAC Motor in Nigeria. It began its operations in 2013 following a pact signed with Guangzhou Group Automobile Group Co. (GAC Motor) to establish and manage distribution networks in Nigeria and subsequently Africa. CIG Motors Co., Limited started with the introduction of 2 major models - the GA3 Saloon and GS5 SUV models of GAC Motor with a subsequent introduction of 3 more models in 2016 and 2017. As at date, CIG Motors has introduced 6 GAC Motor models into the Nigerian market; GA3, GA3S, GS3, GS4 and the Standard Luxury SUV GS8 (which is the flagship model).


CIG Motors Co., Limited recently introduced the Mini Space Bus GN8 and intends to cover the Nigerian market with the world’s best in terms of automobiles. We recently signed another landmark technical assembly agreement with a new partner, Jiangxi Jiangling Motors Import and Export Co., Limited, thereby extending our vehicle models to include all commercial vehicles and cars of GAC, ZNA, Dongfeng (DFAC) and JMC brands. The company holds its brands in very high esteem and makes very conscious investments behind the master brand and a focused communication investment in the value proposition packages.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: HR Director
Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Responsiblities

  • Develop, implement and regularly audit corporate plans for a variety of HR matters such as compensation, benefits, health and safety, succession, retention etc.
  • Act to support the human factor operations in the company by providing strategies for performance evaluation, staffing, training and development etc.
  • Oversee the administration of all HR initiatives, systems and tactics
  • Coordinate the work of HR personnel and provide guidance
  • Anticipate and resolve litigation risks
  • Report to senior management by analyzing data and using HR metrics.
  • Serve as the top point of contact for employment relations and communicate with labor unions
  • Monitor and control adherence to internal policies, legal standards and international best standards
  • Settle grievances and violations deploying disciplinary action when required
  • Acting as a lead human resource business partner providing overall value-driven insight to support the business and help to take key strategic decisions.

Qualifications

  • B.Sc / BA in Human Resources, Business Administration or any relevant field; MSc/MA in Human Resources will be a plus
  • Minimum of 15 years of cognate working experience with at least 10 years as HR Generalist/HRBP
  • Proven experience as HR Director / Lead
  • A business acumen partnered with attention to the human element
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Should be between the age of 35-43 years
  • Full understanding of organizational development, operation research and business management
  • Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and regulations
  • Thorough knowledge of human resource management principles and best practices
  • Diligent and firm with high ethical standards.
