Job Position: Loan Officer

Job Description

• As a Loan Officer in the Finance and Banking industry, you will be responsible for evaluating, authorizing, or recommending approval of loan applications for individuals and businesses.
• You will be tasked with acquiring new prospects and clients, analyzing financial information, and determining the risk involved in granting loans.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate loan applications and make decisions on whether to approve or deny loans
• Calculate payment schedules and negotiate terms with borrowers
• Analyze applicants' financial status, credit history, and property evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans
• Review loan agreements to ensure they are complete and accurate according to policy
• Stay up-to-date on lending guidelines and regulations
• Build and maintain relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and retention

Requirements

• HND / B.Sc in a related field
• Proven work experience as a Loan Officer
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Solid understanding of lending practices and regulations
• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
