Job Position: Logistics Officer

Job Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• Responsible for the movement of goods and materials to their required destination.
• Plan, coordinate, and manage the activities of drivers and operators to ensure that their operations are executed according to the required standard.
• Responsible for optimizing the efficiency of our transportation operations while adhering to budgetary constraints.
• Ensure that material are promptly delivered at designated destination.

Responsibilities

• Coordinateactivities of drivers and operators within the Head Office and at Site.
• Prepare Movement and Operations plan to ensure smooth running of operation.
• Provide comprehensive operational records for drivers and operators.
• Schedule daily and weekly routes.
• Report maintenance and repair needs for transportation vehicles and equipment
• Carryout checks and inspection on vehicles and equipment to ascertain their functionality.
• Schedule maintenance for industrial machines and equipment and keep equipment service records.
• Maintain an updated list and status of Vehicles and Equipment .
• Ensure compliance with company policies and transportation procedure.

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess an HND, B.Sc, or BA Degree with 5 years of experience.
• Proven work experience in related jobrole
• Experience preparing and tracking orders
• Familiarity with any logistics software
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to supervise and train staff
• Problem-solving abilities.
