We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Structural Engineer

Job Location: Lagos Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Provide innovative solutions to construction and engineering challenges.
• Ensure that designs adhere to relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Stay updated on changes in codes and incorporate them into designs.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to assess the progress and quality of construction work, and address any structural concerns or modifications.
• Prepare comprehensive engineering reports, drawings, and specifications for construction teams, regulatory authorities, and clients.
• Identify potential risks and challenges in structural designs and propose mitigation strategies to minimize structural failures and accidents.
• Work closely with architects, construction teams, and other engineers to coordinate and integrate structural components into overall project plans.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Continuously seek and implement innovative structural solutions and construction methods to improve efficiency and sustainability.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a B.Sc or M.Sc Degree with 5-8 years of experience.
• Ability to understand construction procedures.
• Project management experience.
• Ability to use the latest structural software to design and review new and ongoing projects.
• Ability to understand construction works - Concreting/formwork/reinforcement.
