Job Position: Transport Manager

Job Description

• Manage Transportation Operations: Oversee daily transportation activities, including planning routes, scheduling deliveries, and ensuring that goods are delivered on time.
• Fleet Management: Manage the company’s fleet of vehicles, including maintenance, repairs, and ensuring vehicles meet legal and safety standards.
• Compliance: Ensure that all transportation activities comply with relevant laws and regulations, including health and safety, vehicle regulations, and environmental standards.
• Supplier and Vendor Management: Negotiate contracts with suppliers and third-party transport providers. Manage relationships with external vendors to ensure high service levels.
• Cost Control: Monitor and control transportation costs to stay within budget. This includes fuel management, vehicle maintenance, and optimizing routes for cost efficiency.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and manage a team of drivers, coordinators, and other transport staff. Provide training, set performance targets, and conduct performance reviews.
• Customer Service: Liaise with clients to meet their delivery requirements. Address any issues or complaints regarding the transportation of goods.
• Data and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including vehicle logs, fuel usage, and delivery times. Provide regular reports to senior management on key metrics and KPIs.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in the transportation process to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Risk Management: Assess and manage risks associated with transportation, including those related to vehicle breakdowns, accidents, and delays.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess B.Sc Degrees with 1+ years of relevant work experience.

Salary
N80,000 - N150,000 Monthly.
