Bucksway’s Leverages and Investments Limited was incorporated as licensed limited liability company in 2017 providing financial convenience to the deficit users of fund. The company started informally in 2016 and formally commenced business in 2017. It has since steadily grown to become a valuable bridge in the finance and wealth creation value chain through breaking down the main limiting barrier of financing which stands between real and enterprising entrepreneurs who have been systematically denied assistance. Many of these businesses had been denied assistance by the formal finance system. The Firm provides financial services to individuals, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME).

Job Position: Credit Risk Manager

Job Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • Process credit applications and make recommendations, highlighting all risk issues pertinent to the credit decision.
  • Expected to positively impact the institution’s NPL ratio over a given time frame with the ultimate goal of minimizing bad loans.
  • Review and analyse the delinquent portfolio to identify key causal factors and lessons, make recommendations to senior management for approval and track them to ensure adequate and timely closure
  • Monitor the risk of client portfolios to ensure they stay within agreed parameters of the Credit Policy and the Risk Appetite Statement.
  • Work with the credit, operations and loan remediation teams to ensure that credit risk indicators and early warning signs of credit delinquency are monitored proactively and that, recommendations for actions to be taken to ameliorate the situation are made and acted upon.
  • Monitor violations of credit policies, provide analysis, conclusion and recommendations, present findings to senior management and suggest actions/penalties to be taken when appropriate

General Requirements, Skills and Competence

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Commerce, Economics, Business Administration, Banking, Finance or related field from a recognized University.
  • A minimum of 7 years of credit risk experience gained within a banking environment.
  • A proven ability in credit risk identification and control
  • Post-graduate or professional certification would be desirable.
  • Good organisational skills with ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • An ability to ‘think outside the box’ and look for creative solutions, with strong attention to details.
