Job Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Summary

  • The Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that the organization complies with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and procedures. 
  • This role involves identifying and mitigating compliance risks, conducting internal audits, training staff on compliance-related topics, and liaising with regulatory bodies when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Timeliness and quality of KYC reviews performed
  • No. of KYC/CDD breaches discovery
  • Turn around time for ML/TF alerts reviews
  • Quality of SARs/STR filings
  • Timeliness and accuracy of regulatory returns
  • Monitor and interpret new and existing laws, regulations, and policies relevant to the organization.
  • Investigate compliance concerns and coordinate responses to regulatory inquiries or audits.
  • Prepare reports for senior management and regulatory agencies as required.
  • Maintain documentation of compliance activities, such as complaints received or investigation outcomes.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective compliance programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct regular internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance-related matters.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., legal, finance, HR) to support compliance objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or STEM.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a compliance, or audit role.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and industry-specific compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail.

Salary
N100,000 - N120,000 per month.
