Job Description


  • The Fleet Officer will be responsible for overseeing the company’s fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are properly maintained, effectively utilized, and compliant with all regulatory standards. This role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and supervisory skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise the daily fleet operations to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
  • Monitor driver activities, vehicle usage, and fuel consumption to control costs and prevent misuse.
  • Ensure that all vehicles are properly licensed, insured, and roadworthy at all times.
  • Schedule preventive and corrective maintenance for all vehicles, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Track and analyze fleet performance using reports and fleet management tools.
  • Conduct periodic driver training and safety checks to promote compliance with company and government regulations.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and vehicle breakdowns, providing timely reports and recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle documents, repairs, and operational expenses.
  • Support the recruitment, onboarding, and performance monitoring of drivers.

Qualifications & Skills

  • B.Sc. Degree / HND in Transport Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in fleet management or logistics operations.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, transport laws, and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of fleet management software is an added advantage.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
