Job Position: Head of Legal & Compliance

Job Location: Sangotedo, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• We are hiring a Head of Legal & Compliance — a seasoned legal professional with sharp business acumen, a fearless mindset, and the leadership capacity to drive legal excellence in a fast-paced real estate environment.
• This role reports directly to the Group Managing Director and is critical to safeguarding the company’s legal and ethical standards while providing strategic legal support across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the Legal & Compliance function for the group
• Provide expert legal advice to executive management and board
• Ensure legal compliance across all real estate transactions and operations
• Lead due diligence processes for property acquisitions and partnerships
• Manage litigation, risk, and external legal counsel relationships
• Build and lead a high-performing legal and compliance team

Who We’re Looking For

• Minimum 15 years of post-call experience
• Called to the Nigerian Bar
• Deep understanding of real estate, commercial transactions, and regulatory compliance
• Proven experience leading legal teams in dynamic business environments
• Mature, confident, and bold — a legal leader with grit, discipline, and drive
• Excellent contract drafting, negotiation, and litigation management skill.

Salary
N12,000,000 net per annum ( negotiable based on experience )
