Job Description
Who we are looking for?


  • The Head of Supply will be the driving force behind our logistics operations across multiple markets.
  • This critical role entails directing all aspects of Kobo’s logistics management function, ensuring timely delivery and distribution of products and materials to our customers.
  • Leading a team of logistics professionals, the Head of Supply will implement strategic initiatives to optimize our logistics network and operations.
  • They will forge and nurture partnerships with logistics providers to maximize business opportunities and support customer account growth.

Strategic Leadership:

  • Directing all aspects of logistics management to control, deliver, and distribute products and materials efficiently on behalf of our customers.
  • Leading the execution of overall strategy, metrics, and processes to deploy an optimized logistics network and operations.

Team Management:

  • Developing and managing a team of logistics professionals across Nigeria.
  • Coordinating the daily activities of the Supply team to achieve growth and meet monthly sales targets.

Partnership Development:

  • Building and maintaining relationships with existing and potential logistics partners to maximize business opportunities.
  • Supporting the growth of new and existing customer accounts through strategic partnerships with logistics partners.

Governance and Improvement:

  • Establishing governance and auditing processes to monitor the performance of logistics partners and drive continuous improvement.
  • Providing guidance in designing partnership material and communicating supply chain goals to C-level executives.

Responsibilities
You will:

  • Direct all aspects of Kobo’s logistics management function to control, deliver and distribute products and materials to destination on behalf of its customers
  • Develop and manage a team logistics professionals and agents across Nigeria
  • Provide the strategic leadership, team spirit and the drive to ensure achievement of company objectives
  • Coordinate the daily activities of the Supply team to achieve growth and hit monthly sales targets
  • Lead the execution of overall strategy, metrics and processes to deploy an optimized logistics network and operations
  • Build and maintain with existing and potential logistics partners to maximize business opportunities
  • Support the growth of new and existing customer accounts through strategic partnerships with logistics partners
  • Establish governance and auditing processes to monitor the performance of logistics partners and drive continuous improvement
  • Provide guidance in designing partnership material
  • Create and communicate supply chain goals and ensure C level executives are informed on the progress of those goals.

KPIs:

  • Rebuild Kobo’s transporter base to include a diverse range of transporters across Nigeria
  • Ensure Kobo’s database of transporters is complete and accurate with all relevant documentation needed on transporters
  • Launch and scale Kobo’s dedicated truck model to achieve 100 dedicated trucks on the platform by December 2024
  • Increase the number of fleet owners on Kobo’s platform (vs brokers/agents) by at least 30% by September 2024
  • Increase the number of of one-month active partners on Kobo’s platform by at least 50% by December 2024
  • Increase the partner retention rate to at least 50% by September 2024 and 75% by December 2024
  • Drive 100% technology adoption across Kobo’s transporter base in Nigeria.

Requirements
We're looking for someone who has:

  • Minimum of 8 Years of experience leading logistics and client relationship teams
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and business acumen
  • Demonstrate track record of achievement of performance management improvement and
  • delivery at a senior management level.
  • Have excellent digital marketing skills
  • Innovative and problem solver
  • Must reside in Lagos and be willing to travel 40% of the time.
