We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:


1.) Building Service Technician

Job Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Contract

Job Summary

  • Undertake maintenance, upkeep and repair tasks in the interior or exterior of UPBEAT`s premises.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Inspect the trampoline before each use and replace any worn, defective, or missing parts, Checklist should be submitted daily to Line Manager.
  • Carry out routine checks around the facility via checklist issued by Line Manager, report any repairs or wear and tear.
  • Maintain property and equipment by conducting regular inspections to determine need and extent of service and equipment required, type of operation, and maintenance needed; take prompt corrective and preventive action as necessary.
  • Champion and promote cost and energy saving measures as designed by the Line Manager within the facility.
  • Adhere to daily facility shutdown checklist and ensure that all electrical appliances/machinery around the facility are power down/turned off properly.
  • Assist with painting, plastering and filling of gaps or crevices (on walls, sidewalks etc.).
  • Carry out minor repairs or carpentry duties as required; identify and report the need for major repairs.
  • Participate in assembly or moving furniture, equipment or other items around the facility.
  • Provide support during utility emergencies in the premise; Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks as directed by the Line Manager.
  • Attend departmental toolbox talks/SOP reviewed meeting and prepare activity report as required by the Line Manager.
  • Adhere strictly to professional statutory and regulatory requirements in the use of tools and safety requirements.
  • Assists in implementing all emergency procedures around UPBEAT.

2.) IT Support Officer

Job Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • Support team to oversee UPBEAT’s IT infrastructure and operations and provide a platform to drive process efficiency, productivity, innovation and exceptional service delivery; thereby effectively contributing to the company’s overall goals and objectives.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implement UPBEAT’s overall IT strategy and infrastructure, ensuring that the right systems, applications, controls, policies, guidelines are put in place to support the company’s day-to-day operations.
  • Manage UPBEAT’s electronic data and ensure that the company’s information asset and knowledge base is adequately secured, available to the appropriate stakeholders as and when due.
  • Participate in the procurement and re-order of IT systems, utilities and consumables; ensuring that the company gets value for money in all IT transactions.
  • Install, configure, and maintain all computer systems, hardware, software applications, and other IT consumables and ensure that all relevant IT licenses and subscriptions are updated and/or renewed as and when due.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance schedule, periodic system audit and review logs for unauthorized or questionable access and put in place appropriate measures to guarantee the integrity of the system.
  • Complete and collate checklist as required
  • Participate in the development and implementation of UPBEAT’s business contingency policy and plans ensuring that the business has a robust back–up -arrangement to forestall any data loss and business disruption.
  • Monitor compliance with approved IT policies and guidelines and recommend appropriate measures to track and deal with infractions.
  • Maintain a system error log, diagnose reported problems and relay problems to the appropriate support organisations or third party vendors.
  • Work with the relevant support teams to provide learning and development opportunities for the IT Unit.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory authorities relating to hygiene, fire, health and safety as well as the Company’s Health, Safety & Environment Policy.
  • Secure physical access to UPBEAT’s server room and other IT Infrastructure and ensure compliance to laid down safety and security procedures.
  • Provide end-user support and training; respond promptly to all inquiries on IT related services and applications across the business.
  • Monitor and manage relationship with the Software developers for Upbeat
  • Maintain and keep accurate records of all IT-related transactions, approvals, correspondences, memos etc.
  • Prepare periodic activity report as required by the IT Manager.
  • Periodic download and backup of customer information

3.) Sous Chef

Job Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Contract

Job Objective

  • To contribute to and produce the highest possible food quality in their own section, following appropriate food portion control, recipes, Upbeat's corporate guidelines, and service concepts.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure the right amounts of food are prepared for forecasted covers, special functions, and reservations.
  • Implement proper rotation of food in the "Mise en place."
  • Adhere to Upbeat Restaurant standards of food quality, preparation, recipes, and presentation.
  • Ensure proper seasoning, portions, and appearance of food.
  • Actively coordinate the production and preparation of all food items within the assigned area, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Maintain the highest standards of quality and portion control, prepare requisitions, check expiry dates, identify slow-moving items, and ensure proper storage.
  • Maintain operating equipment and report any necessary repairs.
  • Prepare and properly set up all food orders according to recipes and presentation standards.
  • Minimize spoilage and wastage.
  • Store food correctly, covered and dated, using appropriate methods.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation laws and practices.
  • Consult with the Head Chef regarding suggestions to improve quality.
  • Perform any other duties requested by the Head Chef.

4.) IT Administrator

Job Summary

  • Develop and manage IT’s budget and ensure compliance with approved expense limits, thresholds and procurement guidelines.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance schedule, periodic system audit and review logs for un-authorized or questionable access, and put in place appropriate measures to guarantee the integrity of the system.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of UPBEAT’s business contingency policy and plans ensuring that the business has a robust back–up arrangement to forestall any data loss and business disruption.
  • Secure physical access to UPBEAT’s server room and other IT Infrastructure and ensure compliance to laid down safety and security procedures.

Experience and Qualification

  • A First Degree in Computer science or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a related role within a sports/ recreational or hospital facility or any related business.
  • ICT professional certification e.g. CCNA, Oracle or any other recognized certification.

5.) HR Business Partner

Job Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Objective

  • Responsible for the implementation and monitoring ofHR initiatives and management of Operational HR activities.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the HR Manager in the creation of UPBEAT’s Human Resources strategy, Champion the delivery and implementation of the HR plan.
  • Managing all daily operational HR tasks including handling employee relations, monitoring and recording sickness/absence/annual leave, reviewing and bringing policies and procedures due for update to the notice of the HR Manager.
  • Deal with grievances and violations invoking disciplinary action when required.
  • Develop and maintain effective internal relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate all meetings (Monthly, Departmental or General or Townhall sessions; DC) for staff; ensure proper documentation and reporting.
  • Strengthening the organizational culture and improving trust; Conduct employee engagement survey and draw on information from survey results, ensuring that UPBEAT values are lived and embedded in our people practices; acting on employee feedback.
  • Responsible for end-to-end recruitment including drafting job specifications, candidate/agency sourcing, coordinating interviews with key team members and managing the on-boarding process, ensuring a positive candidate experience with both successful and unsuccessful candidates.
  • Coordinating the review and update of all Job Descriptions and KPIs as at when due; ensure all staff have working KPIs and Job Descriptions.
  • Guides management and employee actions by communicating and enforcing organization values; determining sanctions where necessary.
  • Participate in the review and update of the performance management processes to suit the business.
  • Work with and support line managers to coach and guide around employee relations’ issues, appraisal best practice and maximizing engagement.
  • Monitor annual training budget and training plan for all staff.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Graduate Degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of HR experience
  • Professional HR Certifications CIPM, PHRi, CIPD or equivalent)
  • Experienced with HRIS
