We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Emergency Call Center Agent

Job Location: Abuja (FCT) -  Remote
Employment Type: Full-time

Overview


  • Emergency call center agents, also known as 911 dispatchers or emergency medical dispatchers (EMDs), are the first point of contact for individuals experiencing emergencies.
  • They play a critical role in coordinating emergency response by receiving calls, assessing the situation, dispatching appropriate resources, and providing essential pre-arrival instructions to callers in need.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming emergency calls from individuals reporting various situations, such as medical emergencies, fires, crimes, or accidents.
  • Calmly and efficiently gather vital information from callers, including the nature of the emergency, location, and number of individuals involved.
  • Provide pre-arrival instructions to callers, including basic first aid measures, CPR guidance if certified, and how to secure the scene until help arrives.
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of each call, including details of the reported emergency, caller information, dispatched resources, and pre-arrival instructions provided.
  • Assess the severity of the situation using standardized protocols and decision-making tools.
  • Dispatch appropriate emergency responders based on the nature of the emergency, such as police officers, firefighters, paramedics, or other specialized units.
  • May offer emotional support and de-escalation techniques to distressed or panicking callers.

Qualifications

  • A licensed paramedic or equivalent certification in emergency medical services or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively gather information from callers, maintain composure under pressure, and provide clear instructions in high-stress situations.
  • Active listening skills to pay close attention to caller details and understand the urgency of the situation.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to quickly assess situations, make sound decisions, and prioritize responses.
  • Ability to work independently while following established protocols and procedures.
  • Emotional resilience to cope with stressful and often traumatic situations.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and the ability to learn and utilize specialized call center software.

2.) Paramedic

Job Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Respond to emergency calls via ambulance or other emergency vehicles.
  • Assess and stabilize the conditions of patients suffering from illness or injury, including taking vital signs, conducting physical examinations, and collecting medical history.
  • Administer a variety of advanced life support procedures, such as CPR, oxygen therapy, medication (including injections and intravenous fluids), and wound care.
  • Operate specialized medical equipment like defibrillators, ventilators, and monitoring devices.
  • Safely transport patients to the hospital while continuing to provide essential care and monitoring their condition.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, emergency medical dispatchers, and hospital staff.
  • Maintain and restock emergency medical equipment and supplies within the ambulance.
  • Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records.

Qualifications

  • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields with 2 - 5 years work experience.
  • Must hold a current Paramedic license.
  • Have strong clinical skills and knowledge of emergency medical procedures, pharmacology, and human anatomy and physiology.
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to assess situations, make quick decisions, and effectively care for patients in stressful environments.
  • Compassion and empathy to provide emotional support to patients and families during emergencies.
  • Physical fitness and stamina to perform physically demanding tasks and work long hours.

3.) Emergency Ambulance Driver

Job Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Overview

  • Emergency ambulance drivers are the critical link between the scene of an emergency and definitive medical care. They are responsible for safely and efficiently transporting patients in need to hospitals or other appropriate medical facilities while providing basic care and support under the guidance of paramedics or other medical personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the ambulance safely and efficiently under emergency conditions, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations while utilizing emergency lights and sirens when necessary.
  • Maintain the ambulance by conducting pre-shift inspections, ensuring proper equipment function, cleanliness, and adequate medical supplies.
  • Operate basic medical equipment such as oxygen tanks and automated external defibrillators (AEDs) as instructed, following established protocols.
  • Provide basic first aid to patients in need, including CPR if certified, while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
  • Maintain clear communication with dispatch centers, medical personnel, and hospital staff, relaying patient information and updates throughout the transport.
  • A google knowledge of the environment to be able to avoid traffic jam and be able to map fastest routes.
  • Good knowledge of navigation tools such as Google Maps, wave etc.
  • Assist paramedics and other medical personnel with loading and unloading patients onto the stretcher and into the ambulance.
  • Document patient care activities and maintain accurate records of transport details and administered treatments.
  • Clean and sanitize the ambulance after each transport to ensure proper hygiene and infection control.

Qualifications

  • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree, HND, NCE or OND in relevant fields with 2 - 5 years work experience.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and meet all state-specific requirements for operating emergency vehicles.
  • Hold a current Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification or equivalent, preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to adapt to different emergencies and make quick decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, medical personnel, and dispatchers.
  • Calm and composed demeanor to manage stressful situations and provide emotional support to patients.
  • Physical fitness and stamina to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving patients, working long hours, and standing for extended periods.
