Job Position: Logistics Officer

Job Location: Onitsha, Anambra

Job Description

• We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Officer to join our team. The Logistics Officer will be responsible for overseeing the movement, storage, and distribution of goods within our organization.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of logistics principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Manage inventory levels and optimize storage space.
• Track and report key metrics such as on-time delivery performance and inventory accuracy.
• Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and plan logistics operations accordingly.
• Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers and suppliers.
• Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.
• Resolve issues and discrepancies related to shipments, orders, and inventory.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in logistics operations, preferably in a similar role.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Proficiency in logistics software and systems.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
