Description


  • The Dangote Cement Plc is seeking a talented and experienced Senior General Manager, Electrical & Instrumentation to join our team.
  • The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the electrical and instrumentation functions across various projects and locations.
  • The Senior General Manager, Electrical & Instrumentation will be responsible for ensuring the effective, efficient, and safe operation and maintenance of all electrical and instrumentation equipment, systems, and processes. This leadership role requires a strategic mindset, exceptional technical knowledge, and the ability to drive successful outcomes through effective teamwork and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the electrical and instrumentation strategy, policies, and procedures
  • Oversee the planning, installation, maintenance, and repairs of electrical and instrumentation systems and equipment
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to project teams and ensure effective coordination with other departments
  • Lead a team of electrical and instrumentation technicians and professionals, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance management
  • Ensure compliance with electrical and instrumentation standards, codes, and regulations
  • Monitor and manage project timelines and budgets for electrical and instrumentation activities
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, reduce downtime, and enhance equipment reliability

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 25 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation management, preferably in the cement industry, with 10 years at in Senior Leadership Capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, equipment, and best practices
  • Proven experience in project management and leading cross-functional teams
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Knowledge of relevant safety and regulatory standards and guidelines
