We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Legal & Compliance Associate

Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role


  • The Legal & Compliance Associate is responsible for providing legal advisory, structuring, and due diligence support for all corporate transactions across our asset management departments, financial technology and real estate.
  • Additionally, the role will provide support firm-wide on client experience, intellectual property, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance.
  • You will report to the Head Legal & Compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting compliance training for employees and providing guidance on compliance-related matters.
  • Assisting with the implementation of compliance programs and procedures, including the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborating with other departments, such as risk management and internal audit, and third-party resources to ensure that the company's compliance programs are effective and up to date with records properly kept.
  • Participating in internal and external audits and regulatory examinations and working with internal and external stakeholders to resolve compliance issues.
  • Providing Corporate Governance and Company Secretarial services to the Board, Board Committees, and relevant Circles of the Company as may be delegated from time to time.
  • Drafting, proof reading, and amending legal documents and corporate policies, relating to, and maintaining updated records of all corporate transactions in order to ensure the company’s interest is always protected in all transactions.
  • Conduct relevant research and provide legal opinion on Legal issues as may be delegated.
  • Maintaining proper statutory records of the Board documents and corporate information of the Company.
  • Representing the company as required in legal and regulatory matters and managing relationships with external legal counsel.

Qualifications

  • LL. B & BL compulsory
  • 4-6 years of proven work experience in a related position and a keen interest in investment
  • Experience in law firms and investment management or financial services firms preferred
  • ICSAN and CGI membership preferred
  • SEC Sponsored Individual license is an added advantage

2.) Special Project Manager

Job Location: Lagos

About the Role

  • As a Special Projects Manager at Sankore, you will play a pivotal role within our team, by leading the charge in driving strategic projects and innovation.
  • Your responsibilities will span managing unique initiatives, project management, and close collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
  • In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that all strategic initiatives within our team are successfully executed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and successful completion of special projects from conception to delivery.
  • Identify and propose special projects aligned with organizational goals and growth strategies.
  • Communicate project updates and milestones to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Establish and maintain high-quality standards for project deliverables.
  • Generate regular status reports and updates for stakeholders and leadership.
  • Implement agile methodologies or other suitable frameworks for efficient project delivery.
  • Enterprise software management such as Google Workspace and Zoho One.
  • Optimize resource utilization and adjust as needed.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and monitor project expenses.
  • Proactively identify risks and develop mitigation strategies for all strategic projects.
  • Evaluate project outcomes and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Hard Science, or any related field. Master's Degree or relevant certifications preferred.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in project management, preferably in the investment industry or related financial services sector.
  • Proven experience in a managerial role related to technology, innovation and project management.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Knowledge in driving innovation.
  • Proven experience in project management, preferably with a focus on special or strategic projects.
  • Has a passion for user experience, and project management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively.

3.) People Operations Associate

Job Location: Lagos

About the Role

  • As a People Operations Associate, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our organization's human resources and culture initiatives.
  • Collaborating closely with the People and Culture team, you will ensure the seamless execution of HR processes, employee engagement programs, and operational excellence within the company.
  • Reporting to the Head of People and Culture, you will contribute to fostering a positive workplace culture and enhancing the employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement HR processes, including onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle management.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and databases.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and relevant employment laws.
  • Support HR audits, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
  • Serve as a liaison between employees and the HR department, addressing inquiries and providing support.
  • Support HR projects and initiatives, contributing to process improvements and best practices.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of programs promoting employee wellness and diversity, equity, and  inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
  • Contribute ideas and support the creation of strategies to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on HR-related processes and initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Law, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in People Operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • ACIPM is required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience working in a Financial Services Firm is an added advantage.
