Job Description

  • Under the direction of the Director General of the Institute, the Online Fundraising Coordinator supports The Institute’s efforts to deepen relationships with our supporters by creating, implementing and tracking online fundraising efforts and communications.

Position Responsibilities


  • Work with Philanthropist and Co-operate Organizations to supply the programs necessary to generate a steady cash-flow that meets the monetary demands of Institute. The revenue generated will fund technology development, Skills Acquisition Training Programs, as well as the necessary day to day administrative and general operating funds.
  • The Online Fundraising and Production Co-Ordinator, will produce email messages of various types, including fundraising appeals, acknowledgments, event and stewardship updates.
  • Create variations in email messaging, such as dynamic content and multiple versions, for the purpose of customization and multi-variant testing.
  • Manage local peer-to-peer and crowdfunding fundraising efforts, including campaign solicitation tracks, annual solicitation status updates, and email production.
  • As needed, assist in responding to in-bound donor relations emails and phone calls.
  • Use provided content to develop post-action online landing pages, such as donation forms and thank you messages.
  • Assist in the management and tracking of the Institute's monthly donor program.
  • Assist in the analysis of email, segmentation and testing performance.
  • Maintains the online fundraising email appeal and testing calendars.
  • As needed, assist in the development of Annual Fund’s social media campaigns.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of relevant experience working in a nonprofit environment;
  • A strong background in crowdfunding with at least three successful crowdfunding campaign track records, preferably within Nigeria.
  • Strong general computer skills;
  • Working knowledge of HTML;
  • Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple projects with a strong attention to detail;
  • Excellent written, phone, and in-person communications skills;
  • Excellent proofreading, and editing abilities;
