1.) Medical Officer

Job Location: Chevron, Lekki - Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Medical Officer is responsible for applying medical knowledge and skills in providing high-quality medical care to patients, diagnosing and treating patients, disease prevention, conduct medical examinations, prescribing medication, provide health education and counselling and promoting overall wellness of patients.
  • It will involve collaborating with other clinical professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and adhering to medical protocols and standards.

Job Description

  • Perform patient assessment, physical examinations, order / perform necessary laboratory and diagnostic tests
  • Prescribe and dispense medications in compliance with the organization’s established medical protocols and monitor patient responses.
  • Work with other members of the management team to implement new clinic operating processes and systems to enhance patient flow, improve clinic administration and facilitate operating excellence.
  • To undertake ward rounds, make an entry in the patient’s notes as appropriate or any other patient examinations, communication or procedures.
  • Relating with patients’ relatives / caregivers on present state of health and further management.
  • Undertaking within your level of experience and competence, certain medical procedures required by your senior colleagues or specialists.
  • Prompt incident reporting, review and manage patient grievances and implement measures to address them
  • Liaise with consultants and specialists on patients’ medical condition
  • Prepare clinics for audits inspection from various health and safety agencies
  • Strictly adhere to universal precautions as established by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Occupational Safety and Health Administration
  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality
  • Complete documentation of patient findings and recommendations at the end of each visit according to established protocols
  • Maintain awareness of current clinical treatment and information in the assigned area.
  • Admit patients to the wards only when necessary.
  • Adhere strictly to the organization’s ethical standards, medical protocols, SOPs, and regulations.
  • Educate patients and their families about medical conditions and treatments.
  • Encourage health maintenance and promotion through counseling and awareness activities.
  • Conduct thorough medical assessments and examinations of patients.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients.
  • Monitor and provide general follow up care to patients
  • Training of staff and providing health talks to patients
  • Conducting internal quality checks at the hospital from time to time
  • Providing emotional support to patients and relatives.
  • Other duties as assigned by MD Clinical & Administration, Medical Director, or Board of Directors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS)
  • 1-3 years of industry/clinical experience
  • Valid Registration and license by the medical board.
  • Strong commitment to care of patients and general customer service.
  • In-depth clinical and empathetic skills
  • Strong written and oral skills including computer literacy in the main processing, spreadsheet and presentation graphics programs.

2.) Sonographer

Job Location: Chevron - Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Summary

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting ultrasound examinations to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
  • The role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and the ability to operate ultrasound equipment efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, ultrasounds, and other modalities.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to interpret and prepare imaging results.
  • Perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations on patients, including abdominal, obstetrical, gynaecological, vascular, and other speciality areas as needed.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, protocols, and radiography/sonography standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to optimize imaging services.
  • Ensuring clear images for diagnostic purposes and making adjustments to the sonographic equipment when necessary.
  • Monitoring and caring for patients to ensure their safety and comfort during the imaging procedures.
  • Presenting the sonograms and preliminary findings to the Physicians.
  • Completing the appropriate documentation and maintaining patients' histories and medical records.
  • Assisting Physicians and the healthcare teams during invasive procedures.
  • Operate sonography equipment to record and produce images of the composition, shape and motion of organs, blood, tissues or bodily masses
  • Select the correct equipment settings and adjust to get the best angles and sites
  • Scan patient and observe screen to make sure the image is satisfactory and make equipment adjustments as needed
  • Prepare patients for exams and observe during procedures to ensure their comfort and safety
  • Determine the best images to include in your report, noting differences between pathological and healthy areas
  • Follow safety policies as applicable, recognize potential issues and institute measures to prevent complications
  • Practice sterile procedures and prevent cross contamination
  • Maintain cleanliness and order of workstations, rooms and equipment
  • Liaise with HOD and consultant in charge on case management, evaluation and treatment plan.
  • Carry out procedures as granted and approved in clinical privilege document.
  • Deal with patients constructively and honestly and manage their grievances.
  • Keeping abreast of the latest medical information through continuous medical education, formal education and personal professional development.
  • Facilitate and make clinical & non-clinical presentations at hospital clinical meetings as assigned.
  • Performing other applicable tasks and duties as assigned by the HOD and Consultant in charge.

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Physiology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
  • MBBS or its equivalent with up to 2 years experience in medical and sonography practice.
  • Diploma / Certification in Ultrasonography.
  • Relevant certifications in BLS /ALS/ACLS.
  • Valid licensure as a sonographer.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience.
  • Strong understanding of sonography principles, techniques, and safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills.
  • Proficiency in digital imaging software and technology.
  • Advanced certification in sonography (e.g., RDMS, RDCS, RT(R)).
  • Experience with picture archiving and communication systems (PACS).
  • Knowledge of quality improvement methodologies.
  • Professional competence.
  • Resuscitation skills and procedures – Basic and advanced life support.
  • A ‘cool head’ in emergency situations.
  • Respect for patients and keeping good relations with colleagues.
  • Proficiency in medical record documentation.
  • Computer literacy, including familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Experience working in a diagnostic imaging setting is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

3.) Medical Laboratory Technician

Job Location: Chevron, Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining accurate, complete health care records and reports.
  • Monitoring, reporting, recording changes and escalating critical values in patient laboratory results.
  • Storing and setting up laboratory equipment
  • Collecting samples: Collecting blood, tissue, and other samples from patients
  • Preparing samples: Labelling and preparing samples for testing
  • Running tests: Performing routine tests and analyzing samples
  • Recording data: Recording test data and results in patients' medical records
  • Operating equipment: Using and maintaining laboratory equipment, such as microscopes and cell counters
  • Reporting results: Discussing results and findings with physicians or supervisors
  • Ensuring quality control: Maintaining quality control of samples and adhering to laboratory standards
  • Testing for drug levels: Testing for drug levels in the blood
  • Contribute to the maintenance and cleanliness of the laboratory facilities and workspaces.
  • Assist with the development and validation of laboratory methods, procedures, and protocols.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science, Chemistry, clinical laboratory science, or a related field
  • 0-2 years of industry/clinical experience
  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT)
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, procedures, and instrumentation used in clinical chemistry, haematology, microbiology, immunology, and other laboratory disciplines.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in laboratory information systems (LIS), electronic medical records (EMR), and other healthcare software applications
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.?
