As a Business Strategy lead, you will be working with clients to devise strategies on how to become leaders in their market. The primary areas of capabilities include; Business Model Development and Transformation, Market Entry and Growth Strategies, Disruptive Strategies & Innovation, Collaborative Models. The Business Strategy lead consultant will also work hand-in-hand with our Marketing, Operations and System & Analytics team to draw up solutions fit for the future.

As an Operations lead, you will be working with clients to identify opportunities for improvement and transformation in their operations, drafting strategies that work. The primary area of capabilities includes; Sourcing & Procurement, Supply Chain and Process Transformation. In an increasingly digital world, we also want our consultants to work hand-in-hand with our System & Analytics team to draw up solutions fit for the future. 

Likely to be working on:

  • Evaluating clients current business model - how they serve customers 
  • Researching markets, trends, economic data and other relevant data to guide market entry, growth strategies and improvements in existing models
  • Market sizing, benchmarking, competitor intelligence and insights
  • How to optimise existing offerings to be more profitable 
  • Route to entering new markets 
  • Creative brainstorming to help evolve clients ideas and bring new and innovative products/services to market successfully 
  • Help clients determine strategic partnerships that can transform their business 

Responsibilities 
Project Lead  

  • Managing client project from brief through to completion  
  • Organising and managing specialists and sub-contractors to work on projects (internal and external)
  • Setting objectives and evaluating project success against benchmarks
  • Ensuring quality standards are continuously met  
  • Liaising with directors on costing and billing

Client Management 

  • Managing the day-to-day client service requirements
  • Reporting to the client on project progress and managing expectations 
  • Disseminating necessary documents to clients 
  • Presenting strategy and plans to clients

Business Development 

  • Identifying new business opportunities
  • Attending key industry events to network and build contacts
  • Preparing proposals 
  • Taking initiative to follow through to generate new client projects

Requirements

  • Experience working in consulting or in-house strategy functions  
  • Good understanding of the retail and consumer goods industry, fashion and e-commerce.
  • Ability to deliver clear and concise insights and fact-based analysis and recommendations through reports and presentation
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to build strong client relationships
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to lead a team but also work well in a team 
  • Ability to generate new work and follow through - from existing and new clients
  • Creative thinking, initiative and the confidence to start things from scratch
  • Any University degree will do
