Technology Operations Associate

Overview

GeneSys Health information Systems Limited is an e-Health company trying to solve a gaping problem in the healthcare sector through the deployment of healthtech solutions including EMR, HMIS and Telemedicine in public and private health systems in Africa. Its primary products facilitate and automate the collection and management of patients' data and hospital management workflow.

We are looking to hire a dynamic and experienced Technology Operations Associate, who will be responsible for the day-to-day internal IT and business operations; by creating and enforcing policies that will enhance the safety of our team's remote working environment and organisation-wide data protection and cybersecurity.


Required Skills & Competencies

  • Min. of 3 years experience working in a fast-paced environment and with remote teams.
  • Proven technical aptitude and proficiency in networks and systems management.
  • Understanding of technology infrastructure and risk, cyber security, and NDPR.
  • Familiarity with data loss protection, backup and recovery methodologies.
  • Experience in stakeholder- and vendor management as well as negotiation.
  • PMP, Juniper, Cisco, CWNA or BCNE certifications would be a plus.

What The Role Entails

The Technology Operations Associate role cut across operations management, data protection and IT support. You will be responsible for:

  1. Providing guidance and effective resolution on technology incidents and service requests.
  2. Ensuring compliance with the NDPR and other applicable data protection regulations.
  3. Planning, coordinating and implementing network security measures in order to protect GHIS data, software, and hardware.
  4. Update and maintain Technology Operations support documentation and other policies.
  5. Reviewing and recommending changes to improve internal processes and network configurations.
  6. Coordination of organisation-wide digital archiving exercises and inventory of all company assets.
  7. Coordinating the procurement processes and vendor relationship management.
  8. Monitoring network performance in order to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and to determine where changes will need to be made in the future.
  9. Assessing and diagnosing basic questions on functionality and configuration settings in technologies utilised by internally and also by our clients during the onsite data gathering process.
  10. Performs all critical data backups and disaster recovery operations, where required.
