We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Medical Officer

Job Location: Abia State (Umuire, Near Umuahia)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Description


  • The medical officer onboards as part of our clinical team to provide excellent clinical care to our patients towards optimum health status.
  • The candidate is innovative, respects patients’ rights, and is in tune with the application of modern health technologies to solving health challenges

Responsibilities

  • Perform health assessments including diagnostics interpretation for patients
  • Prescribe medication and create treatment plans for patients according to standards
  • Counsel patients and care-givers on appropriate health and well-being principles and methods
  • Offer prompt emergency and referral services if necessary
  • Maintains teamwork and works in cooperation with other members of the clinical and administrative team, thereby contributing to proper care coordination
  • Perform minor surgical procedures and provide post-operative care
  • Keep up to date with current trends in medical care
  • Provide excellent, evidence-based, patient-centred clinical services to all patients
  • Respect patients’ rights and maintain confidentiality
  • Correctly keep clinical notes and other necessary health records
  • Make use of electronic medical records systems and other care-enhancing automation tools for patient care
  • Support the planning and execution of preventive and community wellness programmes and outreaches of the hospital
  • Any other duties as may reasonably be required

Requirements

  • MBBS / MBChB
  • Postgraduate qualification is added advantage
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Adequate problem-solving skills
  • Ability to pay attention to details
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Current MDCN practicing license
  • Ultrasound scan skill is added advantage
  • Appreciable work experience
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision
  • Ability to demonstrate empathy and good patient management skills
  • Computer literacy and basic knowledge of EMR.

2.) Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

Job Location: Abia State (Umuire, Near Umuahia)

Department: Medical Diagnostics

Job Description

  • The sonographer onboards as part of our clinical team to support the provision of excellent diagnostics and clinical care to our patients towards optimum health status. The candidate is innovative, respects patients’ rights, and is in tune with the application of modern health technologies to solving health challenges

Responsibilities

  • Conducting sonographic procedures on patients
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of the sonographic equipment
  • Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families
  • Respect patients’ rights and maintain confidentiality
  • Ensure clear images for diagnostic purposes and make adjustments to the sonographic equipment when necessary
  • Support clinicians to conduct sonograhic invasive procedures where necessary
  • Recognize the sonographic appearance of normal and abnormal tissue structures and provide the best image quality for documentation
  • Document all applicable patient and procedure data consistently and correctly
  • Make use of electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other care-enhancing automation tools for patient care
  • Maintain teamwork and work in cooperation with other members of the clinical and administrative team, thereby contributing to proper care coordination
  • Support the planning and execution of preventive and community wellness programmes and outreaches of the hospital
  • Any other duties as may reasonably be required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Radiography or other related Basic Medical Science
  • Post graduate certification in ultrasonography is added advantage

  • Ability to work with little or no supervision
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Requirements

  • HND / Bachelor's Degree in the Social Sciences or Humanities
  • 2 - 5 years of relevant work experience
